Question From your experience.. what should I know about selling on Ebay??

Help! I am a complete novice at Ebay and I need help (and some reassurance) about selling items on Ebay

I have a brand new change table (still unopened in its box) that we dont need and I was looking to sell it. I am looking at setting a minimum bid of $50, and have it as pick up only (or I am happy to drop off if the buyer is local)

Does any one have any tips / advice on selling items, and anything I need to watch out for ??

Make sure it is paid for before they pick it up, and don't drop it off anywhere for free.

Make sure you keep an eye on any 'extras' for your ad - very costly indeed!!

    Good luck!

    Hi,
Be sure to research similar items on ebay and check fished auctions to see what they have sold for.

And also use as many keywords in your title as possible: ie. BNIB(brand new in box), baby, nursery, change table, brand of item, and maybe even your location.

Definitely do not deliver for free! I have found that it is much easier if people pay by bank deposit or paypal, then organise a time that suits YOU to deliver it. Saves any hassle.

Check out the listing fees for ebay, I think you'll find that items listed for $49.99 will be cheaper than listing at $50.

    Good Luck!
