    Need to say it....

I just need to say this without my DH/sister/mother/friends etc jumping to my defence.......

OMG I am so sick of looking pregnant!!!

FWIW I know it's not even been 12 weeks...but I'm still sick of my big potbelly!! And yes I have had a few "when are you due" comments - once when I even had my newborn with me

I am terrified that someone is going to ask me "when are due" when I'm out and about..I feel like I look about 6 months pg...but it's not even a roundish shape, more of a blob really! I'm about 10kg heavier than before I was pg and I can tell it is starting to create some wear and tear on my body, particularly my knees, as I wasn't very heavy to begin with.

hopefully one day i will be able to shift it... anyway I know that probably wasn't very helpful, but there are lots of us in the same position!

yeah u will find most of us get them. I found i didnt lose my ""pregnant" look for months and months. but it will pass. Breastfeeding will help speed up the process

Thank-you, Angelina Jolie et al. I'm about this close to throttling the next person who gives my gut the eye and gets that speculative look... WE DON'T ALL POP BABIES OUT VIA ELECTIVE C-SEC AND LEAVE BUB IN THE NURSERY WITH NANNIES TO HIT THE GYM FOR 6 HOURS A DAY IN ORDER TO FIT BACK INTO OUR SIZE 0 SKINNIES TWO WEEKS POST-BIRTH!!! Grrrr to women's mags, paps, celebrities and 'yummy mummies' who are duping society into thinking our abdominal muscles snap right back like elastic bands and that our midsection is the sole part of a woman's body affected by pregnancy!!!

I feel your pain, mate. I have been trying really hard the last couple of months to shift my extra weight and have just about gotten back to pre-pg weight... but this belly is still there! And covered in stretch marks that are still bright red just to add insult to injury.
It is hard. But we'll get there. And a little belly is ok, IMO... reminds us of where we've been and the wonderful things we've accomplished! (But it needs to be LITTLER than this... LOL!)

i didnt bother shifting my mummy tummy after DD1 was born coz i knew we'd have more babies and id just have to do it all over again. now that DD2 is here ive somehow managed to loose weight without trying, but im not too worried about it till we have our 3rd and final. atleast we have an excuse now, if someone says anything to me (like DF) i just say, i've had a baby, whats ur excuse, hehe

Aw, hun it'll go down with time. Meanwhile it's a drag huh? I didn't mind my lovely round tight pregnant belly, but the soft deflated ballon after-baby tummy is no fun.

Pilates is GREAT if you want to speed the process up. It really works your core. My tummy feels tight for a couple of days afterwards. I only do it 2 x per week but I think it's made a huge difference and helped pull everything back in.
