Eva has vomited a couple of times, once in her sleep. What postion would you put bub in to sleep. I am scared she is going to choke. I didn't wake when she vomited in her sleep so I am a bit paranoid.
Brendan and Tristan both suffered with reflux (Tristan still does) and I slept them on their sides, alternating every night to help decrease flat spots.
During the day they would often sleep on their bellies.
Also if you can put a phone book or something under the head end of the cot/bassinet matress that might help keep the milk down I also highly reccomend a hammock for day sleeps!
Like Sally, when Charlotte had reflux or is chucky now, she goes on her side, and the cot mattress gets elevated.
You can use cushions or rolled up towles to do this, anythin really. Roll up a towel or flat nappy ro put it just behind their bum to keep them on their sides if they are still little.
Charlotte was tummy sleeper and whilst this can hel of they are chucky for not choking on it, they may breathe it back in etc if they cannot move their heads (if they are still little) so the side it a better option
We sleep our spewy monster on his tummy (have done since 6 weeks when he could safely turn his head). He definitely settles and sleeps better and we no longer wake up to him spluttering on vomit! Only down side is that they do wake up and cry when they spew because obviously they don't like having their face in it! Also, if you go this route be prepared to change the linen at LEAST once a day. So it encourages extra work for mum, but I rest way easier knowing that he will be OK. I know they say it isn't SIDS safe (so please do this with caution if you choose to), but I, personally, find it safer than my child choking I hope things get better for you.
ETA: We have put a pillow under he mattress (at the head) so that it is elevated.
Bek....since day 1 ive always put H on his side - i have a stop roll thingy too that he lies in between. Theres lots of dos and donts in regards to this, but i found he just wouldnt settle on his back - he also spewy baby, and this way im not too concerned...
