Playgroup craft ideas

Does anyone have any playgroup craft ideas or cookie decorating or something?

We are bored in our group and need some ideas.

You could each week pick a book and make some kind of craft associated with that book. Today DD, DS and I made "rainbow fish" based on the book of the same name - A4 paper/card with a large fish drawn on it, cut out and then colour/decorate with glitter, crayons etc to represent the beautiful scales. We then added popsticks to the bottom and made them into "puppets".

Other books could be "We're going on a bear hunt" - make bear masks.
ANy Dinosaur books and you could make dino teeth neclaces - coloured penne pasta on string with a triangle shaped tooth made of card threaded into the middle ie the dino tooth.
Very hungry catterpillar - catterpillars out of egg cartons
Books about prince and princess's - could make and decorate crowns
Pirate books - pirate hats and eye patches.

You could read the book beforehand and then make the appropriate activity
