    Question Stinky AIOs

I have been using hemp & bamboo nappies for almost 2 years with no problems (BBH & GK). But I recently started using BBH Magicalls (microfibre) & they stink!! Even after washing & leaving them in the sun, they still smell a bit.

I have been caring for them in the same way as the other nappies. Do they need different care because they are synthetic??

I have fleece lined AIO's that get a bit stinky too. I found a bit of vinegar and borax in the laundry really helped.

I called Babybeehinds. He said to wash them in a couple of hot washes & use dettol/canestan rinse. He said that if they still smell like urine, they are probably not getting washed properly. Have a look at your leg elastic & see if it is still clear, or whether it has turned yellow/brown. If it's changing colour, he said the urine is eating the elastic. My new ones are ok, but the one I've had for 12 months or so has changed colour .

Have never had problems with the natural fibres - but he said that the microfibre does tend to stink more. He recommended doing a hot wash every 2-3 washes to give them a good clean.

I'm not good with abbreviations. PUL?

I only put a bit in and it hasn't harmed the diapers in any way.
