    Question Wyndham area?

Can anyone tell me about Wyndham area? Would you buy and live in Werribee or Hoppers crossing or anywhere else around there (near to train line and schools).

I'm biased because I was born in Werribee and all my relatives are still there. I really like the area and would move back in a heartbeat if I didn't love the mountains here more. It's really grown over the past few years, I love how everything like shops, freeway etc is at your doorstep and it's only a short drive to the city.

I actually live in Hoppers Crossing and despite all the flak I cop from my family about living here I really like it. The area is nice and friendly. There are a variety of schools and kindergardens. DD isn't at the age that we use these things so I don't know about access but my nephews haven't had any trouble getting places. The shopping centre has a good variety of shops and they are planning in extending it again.
I find its a great distance from the city if we need to go. Geelong isn't too far away either.
It suits us (transplanted country kids). Close enough to everything but far enough out from the husssle and bussle. We moved here from Caulfield.

One of my best friends lives in Werribee ... she did live in Hoopers Crossing for many years too & she came from growing up Essendon (where i lived for a few years too).

They lived in an elite area of Geelong for about a year and sold up & came back to Werribee as they felt it was more like home for them but i guess we all have different tastes in what we like so it is hard to know what everyone will class as a ' good ' area to live.

... Ballarat is only about 50mins drive from Werribee if you ever felt like a country drive or getaway (i moved here from McKinnon, Sth East surburbs 5years ago)
