Question So who's got a Kirby?

    Hi all,
I am the proud owner of a Kirby second hand, and about 10 years old, but a Kirby with all the attachments none the less. I rescued it from the cupboard under SIL's stairs, where it has been gathering dust for the last few years.

I've given it one test run, and it actually lifted the carpet up off the floor. I'm impressed! It is bloody heavy but, I'm not sure how I'll drag it up and down the stairs.

So... who's got a Kirby? And what do you think of it?

    I DO I DO!!

I bought mine new though lol...$4000 later!
Amnyway, I love, DH Hates it...We never used to have enough carpet for it really, but do now, it is fab.
I have a newer one though, so it has a "drive" gear on it - like an automatic car - where it will go forwards on its own to make it easier cos it is heavy, and a "neutral" so you can push it around really easily when it is off

Did you get the Massage attachment? lol not sure how relaxing a massage would be with that noise next to you but hey, a vacuum with a massage attachment and a carpet cleaner = ace!

You can get the bags online too from Ebay, cheap as - they are just made form the same brown papaer as other bags, but the HEPA ones from Kirby are SOOO Expensive and I find they never las the 3 months they say they do. Let me know if you want the link for the ebay store, and I will find it for you

    Enjoy!!
