I had a swollen left foot for a few weeks leading up to Anelise's birth and for about 3 weeks PP. Nothing I tried worked... I tried heat packs, cold packs, massage, elevation, compression but none worked. In the end we got a cream from the chemist called hirudoid cream and it worked after the first application and has been gone since. I'm not sure if it was entirely the cream that made the swelling go down, or if the timing was right, all I know is that it was a relief to have it go.
I hope you find some relief soon. BTW, Luke is so beautiful!

Anelise has been BF & EBM fed since birth and I was told that hirudoid cream was fine to use in both pregnancy & breast feeding by the Dr, midwife & the pharmacist.

Urgh... you poor thing. My foot was exactly like that, it actually worried me too but the Dr & midwives all told me it was normal. It was so bad that I could only wear thongs when we went out, and I would end up with huge indentations on the top of my foot from the straps. It hurt heaps too. I am glad to be past that point and I definitely hope you get some relief from your swelling soon too
