so anyone tell me what is normal and whats not, with jack it got so bad in my ankles and wrists that by the time he was 3 1/2 mths I was on lasec's to ease the fluid everything b/t cam eback normal, this time its been on and off..
but the last 3 days my right foot is so swollen and tight it hurts to walk, elevating does help but witha 3 year old and a 3week old its not possible to have foot elevated all the time
I had a swollen left foot for a few weeks leading up to Anelise's birth and for about 3 weeks PP. Nothing I tried worked... I tried heat packs, cold packs, massage, elevation, compression but none worked. In the end we got a cream from the chemist called hirudoid cream and it worked after the first application and has been gone since. I'm not sure if it was entirely the cream that made the swelling go down, or if the timing was right, all I know is that it was a relief to have it go.
I hope you find some relief soon. BTW, Luke is so beautiful!
I've heard of that is it ok while b/f or in my case expressing EBM feeds ??? sounds the go from what I just read when I googled it
ETA thanks for the Luke
Anelise has been BF & EBM fed since birth and I was told that hirudoid cream was fine to use in both pregnancy & breast feeding by the Dr, midwife & the pharmacist.
jase is going to see if our chemist sells it this arvie on way home from work, bloody foot is so sore today, may need to see a dr before my OB appoint on the 30th if it keeps up
Urgh... you poor thing. My foot was exactly like that, it actually worried me too but the Dr & midwives all told me it was normal. It was so bad that I could only wear thongs when we went out, and I would end up with huge indentations on the top of my foot from the straps. It hurt heaps too. I am glad to be past that point and I definitely hope you get some relief from your swelling soon too
