    Question Parvo virus/slap cheek

DD1 has parvo virus. Not actually slap cheek (she had that as a baby), but another strain of it & DS is also coming up in the lovely red rash.
I know that the contagious period is past, but should I be careful still?
A close friend of mine is in her first trimester & I'm wondering if I should avoid her til they are both cleared up?
DD1 went back to school today, even though I've never seen a rash quite that bad. Gp said it was ok. I put that in the note for the school, but I'm kind of thinking I might still get a call to pick her up.

I would definitely avoid any preggo women hun. Parvo virus can have quite severe consequences for the unborn baby, and not everyone is immune (I know I'm not!). So yeah, I would be overly cautious around anyone who is pg.

I hope they're both better soon

ETA I just read some more, and it seems my response is over the top . Apparently it's not so bad for the baby, I must have been thinking of something else. Although there is a small chance of mc if mum contracts the disease. So I would still avoid any pg friends
