We finally got the Child Care Rebate after our child care didn't tell us they needed the CRN for DD . Anyway, now that we have received payment will it automatically be paid each quarter?
I'm also confused about the CCB but I need to look into that again to find out what it means.
CCB is Child Care Benefit, it is income tested and you need to give Centrelink an estimate of your combined income to determine your percentage. If you are entitled to percentage you can elect to have applied immediately so you only pay the gap amount to the child care centre, or if you would prefer to not run the risk of being over paid etc. you can choose to pay full fee during the year (so claim 0% CCB) and once you have lodged your tax return any percentage you were entitled to gets paid to you. It just gets a bit trickly because if you get your Child Care rebate quarterly based on full fees, they will need to adjust the amount of CCB they pay you at tax time to account for the over payment of Child Care Rebate. but it does work it self out. hope this helps.
No worries I work in childcare and if i didn't i wouldn't have known the first thing about it all, have you asked the coordinator at your childcare centre for info? sometimes they can make it more people friendly that centrelink
