I would hun - when aston had pneumonia last year that is how high his temps got - and higher. something is obviously going on, and it won't hurt to have her looked at - ears, throat, chest listen too. I say err on the side of caution. hope she is ok.

I would be taking her too...

They will check her over. She might just have a high pain threshold so that is masking any symptoms.

Yes definitely take her. If its that high its SERIOUS. Not to scare you, but when I had mastitis my GP told ME to go to the emergency room ASAP if my temp hit 40 or above as above 40 is an extremely high and dangerous temperature, and should always be seen by someone.

Personally I'd be heading straight to the Hospital. Our local Hospital said always go to emergency if a temp is over 38. Hope she is feeling better asap!

dd1 once had a temp of 42 and they drs and nurses at the ER didnt seem to be too worried. from memory it was a viral thing too so didnt even get any antibiotics. glad your dd doesnt have anything too serious causing the temp.

Oh you poor loves! DS has also had scarily high temps like that with viral illnesses (remember 18 months ago, when he was sick with a virus every month for 6 months, with croup every time???). It's awful, but there isn't alot you can do, other than to try and keep the temp down.

I hope S is better soon, and that you all get a rest!!!!!!!! You know how close I am, so please call out if there's anything I can do (I'm feeling better now, I promise!!!).
