Amby baby hammock

Hi all!
I am using a second-hand Amby hammock as a cot. It didn't come with any instructions, although the ebay seller kindly drew us a picture to show how to put it together.
We bought the hammock because we're staying with my parents for eight weeks, then heading back to Vietnam, so we wanted something portable and not too pricey.
The problem is Poppy keeps sliding down the hammock, ending up squashed into a semi-sitting position, with the hammock tilted into a chair. We put her in the middle of the hammock and I don't know how she manages to slide down. I'm too scared to put her any further towards the head end in case it tilts the other way and she slides head-first into the other end.
Does anyone else have this problem? Am I doing something wrong? The hammock doesn't tilt when she's not in it and it looks perfectly balanced when we do put her in it. Maybe Poppy has a unique downward bum shuffle that we haven't noticed.

Hmmm, I have an Amby and haven't had this problem. Maybe try placing her a bit higher up in the hammock? I usually aim for close to the top as I'm lowering my DD down, and by the time she's in there and slipped down a little, she is right in the centre.

The amby website has good pics. i know you can adjust it, cos refluxy babies have their heads higher (i think thats right, don't quote me).

Mmm can't say I ever had that problem. I actually used to put them toward the bottom end... their feet relatively close to it and they just kinda got cradled by it and never slipped.

Thanks for your replies. I sent an email to the Amby people to see if they could help. I'm hoping they'll reply on Monday.
I tried putting Poppy down more towards the head end and she slid that way! I went back to putting her in the middle and every time she wakes up she's squashed up down the bottom. So I don't know what's going on.

Finally, after a lot of tinkering around I realised the sides weren't inserted into the little holder bit at the top. No more sliding, no help from Amby though.
