I think you're talking about the Household Stimulus Payments Administrative Scheme?

These payments are only for a small group of people, as per the eligibilty requirements on that link, that didn't receive the payment in October 2008 or February 2009.

well thats sad in my opinion the economic crisis are still up crime is up homeless people are up familys are finding it difficult to put food on the table, rent is very very excessive i mean who can afford 1300 hundred a month, if the rent increase like this melbourne will become a refuge camp togethar with the population, the government shoukd provide atleast twice everyyear a stimulus package

we are in recovery from the economic downturn, jobs are more stable prices are staying stable, employment is UP and UP, it would be stupid for the government to hand out money to every one just for the sake of it when everything is looking up.
I dont see $1300 pm of rent a huge amount $325 pw..esp in areas close to cities for a family home i think that is quite reasonable.
There are lots of hints and Tips on here how to save money.

As much as I would looooove another stimulus package to get us through christmas, I know there is no reason for it to be paid out.I pay over $1000 in rent a month & I think thats really reasonable considering how high rent is in other area's! Considering I practically live in paradise!
The economy crisis had a huge impact on us. DH lost pretty much 2 jobs, MIL lost her job. We had a really hard time, but we are doing it a little easier now than we were. The government has introduced grants for greening up your house & thanks to that my DH has a job & we can afford christmas! Only just coz of all the debt we are trying to pay out after DH didn't work for so long, but we are getting there.
Gotta thank the government for that
