When do their sleep cycles get longer?

DD seems to be sleeping for 1hr for her day sleeps most of the time now (YAY!!)

Was always only ever 45mins!! So just curious, is it bc her sleep cycles are longer now??

No idea Heaven - but my DS has been giving me longer sleeps for a little while now. Usually I'll get at least 1.5 hours out of him . Yesterday he did a marathon 3 hour sleep!

I just wish he'd do the same at night

I actually don't think they ever get longer - it's just that they become more able to re-settle themselves. Doesn't explain why your DD went from 45 mins to 1 hour though. Hmph.

I remember when DS was younger he didnt sleep well through the day. I dont know when it changed but he now sleeps for about 3 hours in the mornings (he usually gets up around 6-7am lately & goes back to bed about 9:30am) & has another sleep in the afternoons around 4pm for an hour or 2. Then he's been going to bed around 7pm (used to be around 6-6:30pm)
He seems to have changed his routine on his own without discussing it with me lol
Hoping you get a better sleep pattern soon

I think they must change bc adult sleep cycles are 90mins.

They change as they get that little bit older i think! Jaxon never used to sleep well during the day as a younger bub pre 6 months, but would sleep well overnight and now he has around a 2 hour sleep morning and afternoon and wakes still at least once a night for a milk drink...gotta get him outta this!
