    DS protected me, so proud

Yesterday we were shopping in town, DS 14 and DD8 were with me. Walking through the mall I felt a tugg on my shoulder and turned around to find a middle aged man in my face. He was quite tall and stocky. I turned back around and kept on walking when I felt my bag being pulled off my shoulder. Now I knew what was going on he wanted my bag. I was gripping my bag so hard and yelled out to him to go away, he wouldn't let go. DD was now crying, nobody comes to help, DS yelled out "leave my mum alone" to be told to $%&&^&%% off. Now this all happened so fast so I'm not sure how DS did it but he got this man off me and on the ground. I turn around to see the man on his stomach with DS pinning him to the ground. The man was now really agro and trying to fight his way to his feet so I put my knee in his back to help keep him down until security arrive and the the police. I still can't believe this all happened and I hate to think what would have happened if DS was not with me. I am also appalled at all the people who saw what was going on and not one person offering to help.

    Regards,
    Dianne

Your brave son, you must be so proud. Get him to give you a live action reply on his moves (LOL I can imagine him demoing it to his friends LOL). You need to get him a "my hero" tshirt printed or something .

BUT... I can't believe nobody did anything to help...!!!

Sorry no one stepped in to help you..that disgusts me! When it would have been very obvious you were in trouble and needed assistance!

You must be so proud of your DS though, what a great kid!!

What an amazing young man, this almost made me cry (PG hormones )

I hope this horrible man gets what he deserves, he was probably in just as much shock as you that your son came to your defence.

I can't believe no-one helped you.. really what is this world coming too?

How brave of your DS. Give him a big hug from me and tell him I think he is awesome!

I am sorry this happened to you. It is terrible that no one came to your aide. I wish people would pay more attention and help others in need.

What a brave DS you have. How scary. Isn't it sad that we see more and more people not coming to lhelp those that are being attacked or have hurt themselves.
