    My Cushie Tushies keep leaking!

Im getting a bit frustrated with my cushie tushies. I think i have only used them about once without them leaking. They aren't on for very long and have been washed at least 6 times so the bamboo should be fairly absorbant by now. They seem to be a good fit for DS around the legs and waist. We use flushable liners which i thought were the problem as they were quite thick but i have bought new ones that are much thiner and sit only above the absorbant pad. Im out of ideas. Is there a trick that i am missing out on?

Hmmmm where are the leaks? Up his sides or out the legs? Or up the back? How long are they on for?

It is possible that they haven't reached their max absorbency. Or the fit might just not be right for your little one. There is so much trial & error involved. Or you have a heavy wetter on your hands, and you might need to find a nappy that can hold more.

I have problems with my cushie tushies aswell. They almost always leak, but I think it's because they don't fit DS very well around the leg. It's a shame too, cause I really like the look of them.

Yeah, same here. They're not good, way too big in the legs and my DD has chubby legs. Also, elastic is pretty dodgy.

same. Definitely not my favourite. More of an after bath only going to be on an hour nappy.

The leaks are usually around the back of the leg but last time they were over the bum. I had a thought though, we have a basix and a couture and the couture came with the booster that snaps in and then another mini booster that sits on top of the one that snaps in. I was told i dont need to us the mini booster so i have just left it aside thinking ill use it when he is wearing it overnight etc. Do i need to use the extra booster? I was looking at the snap in boosters today and realised that one is long and skinny and the other one is shorter and fatter. Now i cant remember which one was leaking and cant remember which one goes with which? Does anyone know which one belongs with which nappy? I think the long skinny one was leaking so maybe that is the booster for the couture?

The longer one snaps in and the smaller one sits on top of that! You also can get extra insert that is about the size of a face washer that folds up to go under the long skinny snap on. I personally snap the long one on then fold it under so its doubled up then sit the smaller one on top! Hope that makes sense!!

I have found tho that my cushie tushies gape abit around the legs no matter how tight i do them up. My Ittti Bittis are a better fit all round.....I just love the Cushie Prints!!!!

    Thanks for the advice Leesha.

I just need to work out which snap in booster went with the basix and which one went with the couture. Does anyone have both nappies? When you look at the snap in boosters one is longer skinnier and the other is shorter but thicker in width. Am i making any sense at all lol?

ohhhh ok!!! My basix are sewn in inserts so i'm not sure what the snap in ones look like for those!
Hopefully someone can work it out for you!!!!

Maybe email Cushie Tushies quickly and ask them? I'm sure they'll get back to you promptly.

I got lots of leaks with my CTs aswell. I don't think they were absorbing the wee fast enough IYKWIM. I found that if I stuck a microfibre booster on top of the snap in booster and used a liner over that, I didn't get any leaks.

Iv given up on them lol. They are now the nappies i use when he does a poo half an hour before bath time etc. Dh accidentally put him down for a nap in them not long ago and i swear they didn't hold anything in. Completely dont work for him.
