Question Are 7 and 8 year old girls into Disney Princess?

    Just a quick question.

I am just curious if the average 7 or 8 year old girl is into Disney Princess, meaning puzzles, games, art sets not the dolls.

    Thanks .

I think it depends on the child, you'd really have to know them. My dd is 8 and she's not into them, probably hasn't been since she was 5 and her friends are the same.

My friend's DDs are 5 and 7 and the younger one is a bit more keen than the older one, but both like them.

In our house, the 2yo boy and the *cough*ty7-8yo girl like them, but the other boy doesn't. I so fancy putting on a Disney now and singing along with all the relevant princess lines...

    it's such a hard age - "tween"

DD1 still kinda likes it - but not really (she is 8). Loves that HSM crap and kinda likes Hanna Montana (bit hard for her to actually like any of that stuff when my hubby keeps telling her she will turn into a dumb ass if she keeps watching it) not meant to offend anyone, I am sure you know what I mean!

I really wouldn't go with it if you're not sure. There is nothing worse as a kid than receiving something you are no longer into and knowing it will sit in your room and not get used (and I don't mean from a selfish perspective but from a guilt perspective). And it's also disappointing as a gift giver to know you've given an un-useful gift iykwim?

At K-Mart atm they have these kits like lip gloss making kits, and stringer doll kits and other things I'd probably go with that as craft and DIY stuff is always a hit and I think it was less than $30.

    Just my thoughts

Tricky age - my niece is 8 and seems to be over them. She does like really cute stationary sets etc - like Smiggle/Kikki K, notebooks/drawing pads and nice cute pens/pencils/eraser/stamp type things.....
Can you ask her someone close to her for some ideas/direction?
