    Question 23 day cycle?

    I'm a tad confused.

I'm an odd person. AF has always come pretty much on the same date every month. Just one day late I knew & got my BFP with DD2.
My AF has only ever not been around when pregnant, BFing, or on the depo. On depo it was every 3 months, when I was due for the next shot.
So never have I ever had a short cycle. Before I went back on depo, when DS was about 12 months old, it was 6 - 8 weeks between af. I was still bfing.
So now with DH away, I decided to leave the depo for a bit & see what my body is up too.

November 7 af last appeared. Today, 23 days later its back! Not very heavy, but been a bit all day. Last time I saw DH, & DTD was around the 13th - 15th November. Don't know if that counts for anything or not, but thought I'd add it in.

Hoping this is just a one off thing, but I'm so confused. I've been on & off the depo since DD1 was 12 months old. Took me 11 months to concieve DS, all cycles regular in that time!

There could be several reasons for your short cycle....

    1. you could have had an annov cycle;
    2. You may have LP defect after getting your cycle back post baby, I know this happens to me, I will O but my LP is very short.
    3. you may have o'd early in your cycle.

I think it's just your bodys way of getting back into the swing of things. If you really want to know whats going on, maybe jsut keep an eye on your CM to when things happen

Yeah, I'm not even sure if I've O'd at all since having DS, so it does make sense that its a bit random.

I used to have short cycles - think 21 days was the shortest. I was probably annovulatory most of the time, so that may be why.

However, my cycles did get back to 28-29 days after having my thyroid out and going on thyroid hormone replacement - turned out I had an undiagnosed underactive thyroid. Dunno if that played a part.

    Its back again
Its only about 17 days later. I have no idea what to think, but I'm over it!
Should I think something of it or just go get my depo & be greatful its gone?
I'm just really confused...I thought I knew my body by now...Not anymore!

if your concerned it would hurt to speak to your dr and maybe get some hormone levels done to see what is happening with your cycle.

i was doing this before i had DD and ended up being endometriosis but i doubt that would be the cause for you as you have been stable when on contraception.. i was never stable no matter what pill or shot or implant i had

Yeah, well I have no other symptoms of that either. I know a few people with endo & know a bit about it. Not even close to thinking its a possibility.
I dunno. Maybe I should ask about it.
