Well I have done it!! Nursing here I come!

Today I enrolled into Endorsed Enrolled Nursing at TAFE.. I have just completed my Cert 3 in Aged care and we were lucky enough to get direct entry into nursing. (Doesn't normally happen with Cert 3 Aged Care, only with Health Services, normally you would have to apply through QTAC, sit a stat test and even then you are not guaranteed entry) So on Jan 27th I am starting the 16 month full time course and I am terrified!! I am not very good with study or time managment. I managed the Cert 3 without a problem, but I wasn't working. Now I am scared about having to work and study and of course the course will be a lot harder than Cert3.. Anyway I have enrolled so unless I find out I am pregnant by then I will have to get used to the idea.. Hard to believe I could be a Nurse come June 2011!!!!!!!!!!!

    How exciting!!!

A huge congrats to you and you'll be amazed at how much you can accomplish in a day when you're forced to...and when it involves something you're passionate about.

Can't wait for your graduation announcement!

    Congratulations

I just know you will be an amazing nurse and a mother! I wish you all the best for your course. I know you'll do just great. And if I could give you one piece of advice for juggling work and study, be organised and get yourself into a routine. I find that reduces my stress heaps and allows me to just get on with doing things rather than worrying about them.

WOW, congratulations, it was meant to be if you got in so easily.
Once you get your head around the first few weeks you will be fine.
Look forward to seeing the big post in June 2011 when you finish.

blessedatlast - I am enrolled to do the same course. I did Health Services last semester and was lucky enough to get a direct entry place as well.
