HELP.... I need the nurses help line number please......
My 3 littlies have had the vomiting and diarrhoea bug thats going around town... its hard to shake and folks tend to have it for awhile......
But they keep getting it back, and were going on 3 weeks...... they can be fine for 2 days, then it will hit for 2 days.. fine another day, have it again..... I've scrubbed out the house and washed EVERYTHING, but I cannt get this damn bug out of my house!!!
Za has woken up vomiting again... poor bubba, he has copped it the most....
I really dont wanna take him to the hossy if they cant do anything, and I cant get him to my doc till Monday.... was hoping to call the nurses line and see what they say before going to hossy.....
So, please, can I have the number, or any ideas or help would be great ladies..... thankyou........
Oh no, the poor things . I only have the number for Nurse On Call which is for Victoria, I'm not sure if it will work for you? It's 1300 60 60 24. Otherwise maybe call your local hospital and ask who you can call?
Thanks ladies.......
She advised us to get Za to the doc or hossy today...... she said this virus is pretty much Aussie wide at the moment and they are feilding 100's of calls about it.. poor kiddies...
She said it is probably just the virus, but he may have something bacterial too and to get it checked out...
Will call the doc again at 9am, and if he still cant take him, were off to hossy.....
Uuummm, what type of water??? I had noticed and mentioned to Adam that he seems to pick it up after swimming at his folks house..... he tends to swallow a bit too..... I wonder.....
Harmony has woken up ok, thank god. No more vomiting, and another breastfeed.
Got Za to the docs for 10.40 this morning.... I have a sneaky suspicion he will send him to the hossy for a fluid drip.. he cant keep anything at all down....
Oh you poor thing hun, I really hope your babies are better soon.
DS has been vomiting pretty much non stop since waking up this morning so I think we are going to be in the same boat. It's so terrible when they can't keep a thing down.
We were at the hossy just over 3 hrs... they took us straight in though cause we had a letter from the doc...
They tried him with a tablet that dissloves under the tongue. Its a med they use for cancer patients that throw up after chemo, and cant put anything in their tummy. Its pretty strong, but the doc said it works.
And so far it has. He has kept lots of water down so far. We have to take him back if it comes back so fierce again, but so far so good. The diarrhoea is getting pretty bad, but he said it would for a bit cause he's keeping the fluid in now.
So for now we avoided the drip, thank god. But he was SO good, and he knew he might have to have a needle, and was being very brave! He has slept most of the arvo too, which he needed.
