Question medic ID bands/braclets for babies/kids?

mods , please move if needed .

Where did you or can you buy medical alert type bracelets for kids ?

i bought an adult one from the chemist the got it engraved and all up it cost about $50

and the thing is waaaay to big for her , but i needed it sooner rather than later and she will always have it .
atm its around her ankle but id prefer it on her arm so its easily seen .

Its party season and im paraniod people will give her food , on sunday , at a party she had 1 bbq shape and we are still having symptoms from the stupid biscuit !!! and some people dont seem to remember when i tell them . if they see the medic symbol hopefully they can turn it over and read it ..

but i think i need a baby one or one not so chunky or expensive !

it need to have her name and her celioac and dairy information on it , what would you reccomend ?

did you have to order the one from the chemist? where I used to work they had order forms and Im sure you could order kids ones....might be a bit late for that though, or online, but its something for future reference.

ETA, sorr misread your post, just did a quick google, medicalert (the brand) only do teens, but there are a few aus companies that make funky kids ones. try starallergyallerts dot com dot au they have cool stickers with a stop sign that say "STOP! DONT FEED ME!" LOL!!

try the laurens hope website..she does funky beaded ones for people of all ages. Or id4u designs..they go right down to baby sizes.

Both are highly recommended and used by mums of diabetic kids so both brands seem to be quite durable etc etc......

Your other option would be to take it to a jeweller and see if they could remove a few links and resolder it. You can keep the links and add them in as they grow, in that case.

Look up Mediband. They are silicone and can be printed with whatever you want. DD is only small, and has been wearing hers since she was about 1yr.
You need to order a few for a personalised order (maybe 10?) but it's so worth it. I never use the engraved one I bought her originally - it's just too big, even at the smallest size, plus it seems uncomfortable.
DD's are white with purple writing and they get noticed - people are always commenting. You can choose your own colours.
