    Baby Weight Gain???

    HI,
I'm just looking for some advice as my almost 14mth old is having trouble gaining weight. She was in the 97th percentile for everything up until 9mths then between 9-12mths didn't put on any weight. The nurse said we would wait and weigh her again at 14mths and we have an appointment next friday. I'm pretty sure from my own weighing on bathroom scales that she hasn't put on any weight and i'm freaking out abit. I'm not sure what to expect, what will the nurse do if she has put on no weight?
Olive has had some issues such as intolerance to dairy/soy and wheat, prolonged salmonella infection which we are treating with probiotics. I think cause I was so stressed about her eating right I offered her so many different foods and now she is pretty fussy and I sometimes offer her 3 different dinners and then she still won't eat much. Olive is on goats milk formula and is still drinking 3-4 bottles per day.
She has a very healthy diet in that I make 95% of her food from scratch, use organic produce and try to give her lots of protein.
Any advice would be much appreciated
    TIA

Hi, My Dd was 8.6kg at 6 months and was still 8.6kg at 19 months. My CHN wanted me to get her blood tests but as a parent I knew she was ok. She was happy. sleeping ok.. eating heaps. she was also fully Bf and I was told to start giving her more full cream milk but she didn't like it then.

She is now just over 24 months and weighs a lovely 10.5kg. Still eats great she is just tiny..

I was like you and freaked a little till I realised she really was fine.. She wasn't lethargic there was no change in her temperment..

I guess if you look at the whole child not just the weight gain is what I am trying to say..

ps.. I didn't change anything I was doing with her. I did try and offer more cheese but she wasn't interested in that either. Infact she didn't like anything dairy until she stopped Bf at 21 months..

    Thanks ladies,
I guess I am worried at Olive's fussy eating but she is a happy child and i think that because she has had a sore tummy with the salmonella she might just continue to be fussy until she is feeling 100%. I also think that she may just have her fathers build, tall and skinny.
    Thanks for your replies
