    New home builder recomendations VIC

    Hi everyone,

We are looking to build a new house next year - Pakenham, VIC- but we are finding the abundance of builders overwhelming and alot of the reviews disappointing so I am looking for anyone who was more than happy with their builder???

I dont want to go with a large company as they are too hit and miss. I have heard more bad than good from Metricon, Dennis Family homes (this was a big disappointment to see such bad reviews because I really like one of their homes), Porter Davies....bascially all the big companies.

So any recomendations would be fantastic and please let me know if you were referred to them from someone else who was super happy with them.

    Thanks so much

hey hun, where abouts in pakky were u looking at? we've just built in Arena at Officer.
do u already have a block and need to put a house on it? or are u looking for a house and land package?
Keep in mind that almost everything is an extra, driveways, fences, some even charge u to tile the kitchen so read all the fine print!!!!
We went with premier which is company made up of 4-5 small builders, i'm not entirely sure what h&l packages they have about at the moment but they're sytem with h7l is u dont pay until the building is completed, which is a massive plus especially if you're renting!
we were extremely happy with their work, our house has quality finshes, unlike the less than standard finsihes by most builders! unless u want to pay extra of course!!
some of their h&l come with fences, fly screen, letterbox, clothes line ect, depending on where abouts its being built, ours came with front landscaping and fences.

our neighbours purchased a h&l package through yarrabank homes and have had nothing but trouble, they finally moved in this weekend after their hand over date being pushed back for over 2 months, their package was the same price as our but their house is a bit bigger, but nowhere near the quality finishing that we have, they also payed an extra 30k for blinds, security doors, air con, fences, front landscaping and a letter box.

you're more than welcome to come check our house out if you're considering going with premier, the sub builder is kialla, they have a couple of displays in arena, our house facade is very different to evreyone elses in the area and everyone comments on how 'cute' it is!
if u want any more info plaease let me know

Another Pakky chick! We're going to take over this place

We built with Longvue homes. They are affiliated with the premier group and have a display on Webster way. Their office is on Bald Hill Rd.

Very happy with our beautiful home coming up to 6 years later

lol raven the FIL is the supervisor for longvue and personally oversees every house they build!
i keep telling him go build me a hawthorn or taradale, no luck so far!!
MK- longvue are pricey but well worth the extra, for eg most homes have an undercoat and one topcoat of paint, so relatively thin, longvue have 3-4 toplayers just things like that making it a high quality house, they also have displays on cranbourne-narre road, DF built the garage one of them

    Hi my future pakky residents

Thank you so much for your responses I havent looked ath those builders before so will certainly have a look.
We have just bought land in heritage springs so just over the road from Arena. So we are just looking around for a builder. I am so nervous about the move out and getting a really good quality home. DP and I have very high standards when it comes to quality and those builders sound like they are certainly worth chatting to.
Yes the hidden bits...we are just starting to discover those. Particlualry the bigger companies are very good at masking what isnt included!!! With some you dont get any flooring which was a bit of a shock.
Thanks for the offer to check out your place skybie will keep in touch. We have some time on our hands as the tittle release may not come through till middle of next year.

Anyway, thanks so much again. I am going to look them up.
