Doing nursing at tafe next year, just need some pointers lol?

As the title says im going to be doing nursing full time at tafe next year cant wait but also quite worried... its 9-4 mon-fri for 4 weeks and then mon tues wed and maybe a thurs night class after that... im a single mum and my son is nearly 2.... anyone else done this, and how did you cope? i know i have to do this but i feel bad about sending jay to daycare that much already studying at home shouldnt be much of a prob, he goes to bed at about 7.30 and im a night owl, cant sleep if i go to bed b4 about 11... though that could change being at tafe all day!
also everyone else in my interview seemed SOO much smarter than me... im also worried that im not going to be able to do it lol...

Jess you will do well, you will be fine so don't worry about thinking they are smarter then you as they are probably thinking the same thing. The fact your doing it when you know you will be juggling your son's care with tafe shows how smart you are. And think of the rewards you will get when you are a qualified nurse and have numerous work opportunities.
I did my nursing at uni when my DD was 6weeks old and I was 17 almost 18. I finished when I was 21. I seperated from her father when I was 18 so was single for 3yrs of my course. Its hard to think back on it sometimes as its just what I did. Now I am so glad I did it as I am financially secure and can walk into so many different jobs and get paid a decent wage.
Things I found was DD would watch more TV then I liked as it allowed me to work on an assignment whilst watching her and knowing she was ok. I didn't have family support. The house would get untidy at times around assignment time but cleaning could always wait. If you enjoy the course it makes it so much easier to go to tafe and do your work cause its something your actually interested in.
Best of luck. I am sure you will be fine.

Please don't worry about the other students being smarter than you. I've been a nurse for 10 years & the best nurses I've worked with were the ones with compassion, empathy & respect for their patients - not necessarily "book smart" IYKWIM. I'm sure you'll make a great nurse, it's clearly something you really want to do
    Good luck!!

(Although, you must be clever to have been accepted!!)
