car seats and cloth nappies

I read on one of the baby websites (for the life of me i cant remember which one) but it said that babies who wear cloth nappies shouldnt be put into rear facing car seats and the cloth nappies change the alighment of the spine and can be harmful to the baby. Is this true?
Has anyone else heard this?

theres a certain thickness it has to be before ur worried so u should probably avoid putting the baby in there night nappy in the car but most arent very thick in the back im not 100% sure wat the thickness is but it doesnt affect my DS one bit

This is what I've found on a nappy website:

Kidsafe WA (2006) say:
"The advice regarding cloth nappies and infants in rear facing car seats applies primarily to double nappies and ones with double / triple thickness folds.
"Traditionally, these are exceptionally thick and alter the line of the infant's spine in relation to the support offered by the infant car seat, potentially posing a risk for spinal injury.
"There has never, to my knowledge, been blanket advice to not use cloth nappies at all when using a rear facing child car restraints. The advice should be to not use double nappies or nappies with very thick folds."
