Cool Has anyone tried Zumba fitness DVD's? What did you think?

I saw Zumba advertised on TV this morning and I'm interested to hear from those who have bought the DVD's...... did you feel it was worth the $$ you paid? They aren't cheap DVD's but they look like a whole heap of fun if they are used often enough......
I'd really love to hear some feedback before I look at buying some.

I don't like the gym but these DVD's are more like dance aerobics which is more what I'm into! Looks fun!!

And... if anyone is tired of their DVD's, not using them.... I'd be interested in buying 2nd hand ones to save $$$

Zumba classes are coming to a gym that I work at. And i know of a few instructors who've done the training for it.

From a fitness leaders perspective latin moves can be quite quick moving, thus getting the heart rate up - which is great.

The only downside I can see is that its 'ALL' latin - no variation. You'll have you mambo's, samba's, chasay's, butt and hip wriggling and who knows maybe even a shimmy! I'm sure they'll make you pivot, spin you around use different armlines - but there is only so much you can do with it once you've mastered it.

I'm a Body Jam instructor, so I guess I prefer having a few tracks (3 or 4) of latin in the class, as opposed to having the whole class latin - probably because I'm a big fan and love the R'n'B / Hip Hop style dance - So I may be biased there . I've always found latin is a bit harder to instruct - who knows, it could be because I favour the other style of dance - but I am mindful my class participants deserve the best latin tracks I can offer, but in general it can be harder to pick up for them on a whole. However, practice makes perfect!

I just watched a demo online and it looks fun too!

Let me know how you go!
