    It's going to be ok!

so i am off to have the fetal monitoring (CTG & AFI) this morning and i am positive everything is going to be PERFECT.. my lil one will be happy and healthy and i will just be happy to have the chance to hear/see her again and knows she's fine.

It's ok for my OB to be cautious even though i think he sounds odd for his reasoning.

guess i just came in to convince myself... wish us luck!

DD is staying @ home with nanna, the first time she wont be there to hear her sisters heartbeat, if she was any older she would be shattered, she loves it and giggles all the time.. can't wait for her to meet her HEALTHY little sister!

Everything will be fine. I just read your other thread. You have a fantastic attitude about today. It will be lovely to hear her heartbeat again and have that reassurance that everthing is going perfectly. Your body is nurturing her just fine. Enjoy your massage today too! :-D

    Update

    Thanks everyone for your support!

Ok so had the appt but really don't know much at all, think they just send the results off to the OB & MW now and i get them at the next appt which is Thursday (x-mas eve).

They told me monitoring can take 10min to an hour depending on what bubs is doing, i was only on for about 15min and the lady says all good you can go to the ultrasound now.. so i don't know if thats that bubs heart rate is all good or that they got what they needed?
There were numbers on the machine and as i watched they generally went anywhere from 180 down to 144 ???????

Then for the fluid check she really didn't say anything, took measurements, checked a chart, thought i heard her mutter 'normal' and then she said you can go now.
She did ask how often the OB wanted me back and i said he only told me to go once and then the MW would let me know if i needed to go back again... so not sure if this is good or bad!

I am just going to stay positive, i heard her heartbeat, she tried kicking the monitoring things off and she seems active enough again now.

That all sounds very positive. A heartbeat between 144-180 is perfect

Hun with my CTG they will only do it as long as they need to get a good trace. For example if the baby is asleep they need to wait for it to wake up. They check that the babies heart rate accelerates when they move and doesn't decelerate too much. The numbers 188-144 refer to the babies heart rate. They sound fantastic to me.

Hope I've helped to put your mind at ease.
