I don't know much about HCG levels, but the way I understood it, it doesn't matter the number as long as it keeps rising.

    Congrats again

Once you get to so many weeks the HCG does decrease to a degree. I am not sure what that is though. It sounds good to me.

The number sounds good to me - and I think its after about 7 weeks it can decrease anyway?

As long as it keeps doubling roughly every 48hrs... have you had it tested before now?

Keep in mind too that any sites you check online may be USA & they're numbers are measured in different units to ours... just so you don't freak yourself out & think somethings wrong when its not

I'm sure your number is perfect

I am sure it only starts to decrease at 12 weeks.

I went through all of this with my doctor 2 weeks ago. For some reason she was checking my hCG levels every week. At 10 weeks my levels dropped and she called me and said I was having going to have a miscarriage because my levels dropped. She organised an urgent ultrasound for me that day and DP and I went expecting to find 'bubbles' with no heart beat. the ultrasound was fine!!!!!

I got online here and asked the ladies about this hormone and boy do we have some VERY knowledgeable women here! Long story short- hCG drops at 10 weeks- this is when the placenta takes over from the ovary in regulating hormones (simplified explanation) The hCG is pretty much insignificant other than to confirm a pregnancy or to indicate an ectopic pregnancy! Other than that there is no significance in the numbers and no point in testing it!

I took the huge amount of info that I got from these wonderful ladies took my doctor the next day....the doctor had forgotten that this was the case and was embarrassed for causing such a stir over nothing. Since that day she hasn't told me I have to have my hCG tested. Heres a good site

    Trust me- ignore the numbers

Congrats on your pregnancy and good luck
