Hi girls...does anyone else out there experience a migraine every month with AF?? I'm soooo over it already & I've only had 3 AFs since DD was born (yet I've had a migraine with every AF for my whole life). I've tried seeing doctors, naturopaths etc and nothing seems to work... Has anyone got a miracle cure which worked for them?? Any ideas welcome...
Unfortunately I am a sufferer and have been since my late teens. The only thing that stopped the migraines was being pregnant, and hey I can't be pregnant till menopause LOL. I have tried every drug, including expensive migraine drugs. I then started getting migraines when I was ovulating as well, and I couldn't afford to be buying expensive Imigrain every fortnight.
I weighed up other birth control options. I had tried nearly every pill, and not being on the pill also never helped. I was left with 2 scenerios depo or implanon. I was scared to try either cause of all the other side effect it might cause, and I knew with Depo if you had side effects you were stuck with it for the 3 long months till it wore off.
I ended up biting the bullet and got the Depo. In the last 1.5mths have had 1 major migraine which was caused by a Body Shop Party that I went to the day prior. Not being on Depo I should have O'd last week and not a headache in sight. So I have gone from 2 a month to one once in a while.
