Question How would i clean this?

I'm embarrassed to ask.. but i have a chicken curry in our slow cooker that has been sitting in there for about 3 weeks now.. because of my terrible morning sickness i just kept saying ill clean it later but now its starting to stink out my kitchen and with my mum coming over on christmas i need it gone.. what would be the best way to tackle it? I know when i move it, it will have the most foul smell and i'll most likely throw up....

Any advice would be MUCHLY appreciated

    OMG thats so GROSS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Hope its not an expensive slow cooker, because I don't know if you'll be able to get the smell out it. 3 weeks is a long time, I suspect the meat would be rotten by now

But I'd go the vicks, take it outside, tip it into a plastic bag and bin that. Then maybe hose it out to get the smell out, and then take it inside and wash it. Boil the kettle and get some disinfectant or something too... Can you bleach it... I'd be trying everything! LOL!

Oh my...3 weeks wow thats a long time putting something off.
I would be inclined to throw the whole thing out...but maybe get your DP to take the curry out and hose it out..then chuck in some boling hot water with hard core dishwashng stuff!

You know what just chuck it out! You can get slow cookers cheap.....bluergh i feel sick thinking about 3 week old curry..is it in the fridge? I hope so.

I know ladies it is disgusting and i feel so gross just having it there. I have asked Dp for weeks to get rid of it as the smell was making me sick in the mornings. it was in the fridge until about 20 mins now its sitting on my bench and i just keep staring at it. I might just to tough it and just get the gunk out and then hose it down and then ill soak it in boiling water for a few hours. Ive got some good disinfectant stuff so hopefully i can get it back to being good if not he is buying me a new one!!! im so mad right now and actually embarassed that its this disgusting.

PMSL Leasha!...I think I am going to throw up!
I am so glad that I finished my lunch before reading this thread.

I would also be inclined to throw the whole thing out, but Mel is right, that's not environmentally responsible.

Can't your DH deal with it? A woman with morning sickness and 3 week old chicken curry are not a good combination. Sorry, but that is a rotting corpse that you have in there....

just breath through your mouth while you clean it out and not your nose, shouldn't smell anything that way.
and three weeks in the fridge is no big deal, don't worry about it hun. I am sure we have all at one time or another left or forgotten something in the fridge that could just about grow legs and walk away.
In the big scheme of things it's no big deal.
I'd just scoop it out into a plastic bag and then rinse it out. After that let it soak in the sink with some dishwashing liquid should be sweet as.

i would not eat it!! LOL

Ok, so i cleaned it and it wasnt that bad to be really honest.. i grabbed a spoon and i mixed it around the smell was just the normal curry smell so i guess being in the fridge kept it nice.. i got the stuff out into like 6 garbage bags and its in the bin so im sure my bin will smell lovely in a few days... and its now in my laundry trough soaking in hot water and disinfectant.

I will NEVER EVER EVER let dp cook anything EVER EVER again!!!!!! My skin is crawling at how bad it could have been. Sorry to make you ladies sick and hope you dont think bad of me. I think now i will disinfect my whole house i feel so gross.
