    Change of address

help me! I have done the main change of address for our bank, RTA and my dog's microchip details. I know i have to do Medicare. Who else do I need to change address with? You'd think I'd remember but my brain has turned to mush

I find it best to work through my purse as they tend to be the main ones to contact, then I make sure I have a mail redirection in place for at least 6 months. Then as mail comes through redirected from the old address then I contact them.

have a pre-paid mobile so don't need to worry about that

thanks for the other tips though! I have about 3 super accounts (which I have been attempting to consolidate for a couple of years but haven't gotten around to it yet..lol). How do you change electoral roll details? And what about the ATO do I have to change address with them too?
DF is on centrelink's database, it's in his name so will have to remember to get him to change that if he hasn't already.
We can only afford to have mail redirected for a month, I wish it was longer but the money just isn't there.

The post office has Electoral roll forms, if not just give the electoral office a call and they should be able to post them out to you. I think they are purple now, they used to be green which completely confused me when I went looking for them. Get 1 or 2 more than you need, incase you stuff up filling them in (well I tend to :lol)

Post office do a "moving house" brochure with an idea of who to notify your change with. Also if you do a mail redirect they can notify the "important" companies that you've moved on your behalf if you ask them.

Important ones are all the insurance companies, licenses and car regos.
RACV, depends on where you live.
Depending on who is in the old house ask them to send on your mail.

Doctors, vet, frequent flyers, yes to ATO, work if you have worked during the financial year, your DF's work, any financial institutions if you money in them or money from them, any magazine subscriptions, do have a registered lotto card or 24 hour service card (not necessarily RACV)?

ETA private health if you have it
