Question DD unwell-virus or something else?

on christmas day DD1 (3yrs) spiked a temp over 38, gave nurofen as she miserable and wanted to sleep, which she did, we went to lunch when she woke as she was ok, then late arvo she crashed again with temp of 39.8, more nurofen plus a sleep, since then she has had a very mild temp, im talking high 37's not nothing really at all, just higher than she normally is, shes also been flat, not herself at all. today she vomitted everywhere, shes not saying anything hurts but what could be wrong, could it just be a virus?????

If she is no better by tomorrow take her to the Dr's. It is probably just a virus but worth having it looked at seeing she has had it for a while. Make an appointment today and you can always cancel it if you decide she is getting better. You don't want her to getting dehydrated.

Sounds viral to me. My DD2 had some thing similar for 4 days. If she hasn't improved in the next 24hrs or she get high temp spikes again take her to the doc. Rest and fluids are the best. Poor poppet

Sounds like a virus...kids can sometimes spike a really high temp at the onset of a tummy bug.
This happened to DS2 one year, he had a very high temp & was in hospital for a day or two before the vomiting & runs set in, then they said 'ahh...that's what it was'
I'd just keep an eye on her, make sure temp stays down now, & she doesn't dehydrate.. it will probably run it's course.
    Hope she feels better soon

My DD has just had something very very similar, it turned out that she had a Urinary Tract infection as well as a virus on top- poor little thing was wiped out for a good week. I would get her checked out just to be on the safe side.

ive been worried it might be a UTI or even kidney as the other day she said her back was sore. shes asleep on the couch, second sleep in 90 mins, she also had loose bowel earlier, not diareah (sp) though
