I have this lovely 3 wick candle that I made the mistake of blowing out, splashing wax everywhere Silly me figured I could just wash the runner straight away, but it hasn't worked.
The runner is a corduroy kind of material, in a cream colour. Do any of you lovely domestic goddesses know how to remove the wax?
i THINK if you put paper down (brown paper maybe) and use a warm iron on it, it should soften up and stick to the paper and come out. we have to do it on the carpet (our three wick got burned a little tooooo long and spilt on the carpet... lucky it's crummy old carpet
FWIW - get a snufter for your candles - if you blow them out, you get wick drift which causes them to burn unevenly (or through the side wall as happened to us - hubby has now learned he MUST use the snufter!).
LOL BG, when I bought the candle, the demonstrator tried to sell me a $60 snufter which I refused! I have now bought a $10 one from Dusk, and it is used religiously
Thanks for that suggestion, I've gotta iron later on today so I might just try it
we have snufters from all over the place - i figure they all do the same job! i just make sure there is one in every room we burn candles in cos if there isn't one, we will end up doing the easy thing of blowing them out! at the moment the christmas ones are still out (3 or 4 i think), one in the lounge, one in the rumpus room, one in the kitchen and one in the ensuite (for the bedroom candles lol)
