Question Daintree & Cape Tribulation at 28wks pregnant

    Hello,

We are planning a holiday to North Qld in February when I will be around 28 weeks pregnant.

I am looking at the Daintree & Cape Tribulation and it seems there are a lot of different walks & tours and am wondering if anyone can recommend any of them.

I am not at my peak fitness since I was very ill with morning sickness until around 18 weeks and still get nauseaos daily....usually if I do anything too physical.

    Any suggestions much appreciated.

We were up that way when I was 20 weeks pregnant. We spent a great day on the beach at Cape Tribulation, at the time the longer walk was closed for works but it was just lovely wandering along the beach. We also loved walking through Mossman Gorge, it was beautiful in there and not too strenuous as there was a shorter loop for if you got tired and a longer loop for if you wanted to keep going.
Have a great time, I wish I was going again

    Hi
I'm originally from Cairns - it will be quite warm and very humid still in February. Not sure myself about any of the tours etc up top but thought i'd pre-warn you about the humidity. I can't handle it at the best of times when I go back for visits, let alone being pregnant!

We were up that way in September and it was humid as then. We camped at Cape Tribulation Camping ground, it was a nice spot but to be honest the facilities werent the greatest.
Have to agree about Mossman Gorge thats was sensational...the water was beautiful.
Anyway have a fantastic time...and just remember to keep an eye out for those croc's and the falling coconuts.

    Smile Thank you

Thank you for the suggestions of Mossman Gorge - I have been looking at it and it looks gorgeous and manageable.

The humidity....hmmmmm...we know of will be hot & humid but really have our hearts set on this holiday. Our other choice would be Tasmania but when I go there I want hike and I don't think now is the best time for that!

We were there a few years ago and stayed at Wonga Beach caravan Park. Has a fun walking along the beach which goes forever. We had a great time there and did a day trip to Daintree which we really enjoyed and just took our time walking through the displays. Went to Mossman Gorge which we also really enjoyed.

I think it'll be beautiful up there at that time of year, but then again I don't really feel the humidity as I'm used to it now.
Check out the Cairns Tourism Info Centre for tours/bushwalks info. My BIL & his wife have been hiking up there often.
    Have fun!
