Detoxing is not fun- remind me why I'm doing it!!!
I'm starting the New Year with a bang! I want my body back in shape before we TTC#2 which is in 8 weeks.
DF has just started on Duramine (second month of it) and I have challenged him that I will compete with him by showing him you can do it with diet and excercise alone.
At midnight I started a 48 detox which is just meant to be juices, but as I still have to keep up with DS I have compromised by saying that if I feel faint I will eat some protein to keep me going.
Today I have: had almost 2 litres of juice, 1 litre of water, 2 meatballs (for protein lol) and 2 very naughty mouthfuls of choccy mousse. But to combat the mousse I did do a yoga session at 7am this morning (the one on Austar) which I also did yesterday and loved!
I am feeling good about what I'm doing, but very drained and tired.
Please someone remind why I am doing this, V8 juice is beginning to taste awful!
PS the aim is to lose around 20kgs as fast as possible by starting a new eating plan consisting of lots of healthy smoothies and protein with fresh veg. Also throwing in some excercise as DS got a nice new bike for xmas that we can use to go for walks.
What a great way to start the new year! and with such motivation as well! that was my new years resolution every year for about 4 years and it was going to be mine this year as i had planned to TTC in the middle of this year but seeings how im 10 weeks pregnant now i wont be doing it.
And to answer your question you are doing so you feel better and are in shape for when you have your next child, which i think is amazing and you should be so proud of yourself
