In the attempt of charting to find when I ovulate, as well as using temp and CM, what other method would you reccomend? Saliva or POAS - those things cost a bit dont they? Or I have heard of something like the clearblue digital being used...I assume this to be the pregnancy test, which also picks up LH.
Bit confused
Anyone do or done any methods other than BBT and CM?
Hi Salsa, I used Ovulation sticks. The digital ones are very expensive - POAS are pretty expensive in general. However I used some I got off Ebay for around $20 for 50...so plenty to test everyday! I actually fell pregnant on the first month I used them - although my chart was clear when I ovulated - I just wanted to feel like I was certain when I ovulated...to do whatever I could. I actually used the left over OP as pregnancy tests in the end and gave the rest to a friend. I knew if I spent the money on the ferning test I would fall pregnant.
I was using POAS - OPK (cheapies from ebay) and the maybe baby lens. I got so confused with the lens and found it stressful. I worked out after a few tries that you have to wait quite awhile for the saliva to dry before seeing the result. My ferning was all over the shop. I stopped the lens after discussing it with the naturopath. She didn't really believe in it and it was causing me stress. I have read a book which highly recommends the lens. So I guess whatever works for the individual - but it didn't work from me.
Oh, after TTC for a few months I also began to notice ovulation pain build up a few days before O. So I noted that as well.
