I'm not much help either, cos I was due for AF for my wedding too...then I got pregnant, which fixed the AF problem...

Seriously, even if I hadn't been pg, and AF had arrived on the day, I reckon I would have just coped with it, things often seem like a huge deal before the day, but then it's there & happening and just goes in a blur. Ask your Mum or someone close to carry "supplies" for you, and you'll get through it. Or if you're going to be at your reception venue the day or so beforehand, maybe leave some stuff there in advance, so you don't have to remember it on your wedding morning.

Good luck and hope you have a fabulous wedding day regardless.

I had my af start on my wedding day (in the evening) and was not due! i was sure that it was a sign after so many years of infertility.

we got through it though, i dont have any advise on what you could do, other than start the pill? but for me it wasnt that much of a big deal, sure an inconvieance.

GL and congrats i hope you have a great day

I got AF on my wedding night. To me, it wasn't the end of a good time on our honeymoon. I was on the pill, but chose not to skip a period.

I had some BC pills at home and decided I would start taking them to skip my AF as I knew I would end up being due around our wedding day. I then realised that I was late for my AF for that month so tested and was pregnant. Didn't need the BC pills afterall.

Wishing you all the very best for your big day

AF turned up the morning of my wedding day. It sucked, but I got through it - had loads of panadol. We still had a great honeymoon and even got pg.

thanks heaps everyone for your replies

my af is always very very heavy and normal keeps me in bed for the first day or two from the pain, so i really dont want to have them on the day.

if i was getting married towards the end of my af that wouldnt bother me cos its not usually heavy or painful.

i am terrified that (i know this might be alittle to much info here) but i might leak on my dress or something, plus how am i going to manage to change my tampon with such a big dress lol
plus i usually get sick a day or two before af arrives with migraines and it doesnt go till i actually start bleeding. i really dont want to have migraines around the time of the wedding, i will be so flat out and busy i wont have time to be sick in bed with migraines.

Mmmmmmm now i really am starting to worry!!!

I would suggest get on the pill so that you can skip it as you said thats AF is heavy and painful you don't want to be miserable and stressing about leaking on wedding day.

Go to the doctor and get some noriesterone. You take it a few days before you are due until you are ready to have your period.
I hope this helped you and best of luck for your wedding day

Praying that they will do something weird like be late or early for you..

My SIL got hers unexpectedly on her wedding day. After my Mum doing a mercy dash for some tampons, we stood guard at the main toilet door to stop anyone entering, her mum held her dress over her head as high as she could so SIL could get tampon in..

And yes she laughs about it now..

I agree. You have enough time to get to the Dr and get some birth control and skip the 'sugar' pills. Have a chat to your GP. Most are usually pretty good when it comes to this kind of stuff!

All the best for your wedding!

I'd go to the GP or FS (or call) and ask if they can give you something, that is, if it won't interfere with your IVF cycle in March??

Can you get that tablet that makes you get AF? Not sure whats its called. Is it provera or something? If you take it 3weeks before your wedding that should give it time to arrive and leave again before your wedding. Just a thought. For mine I took the pill up until the day of my wedding to ensure I didn't get it. My last pill was my wedding day as we wanted to start ttc. As I hadn't been on the pill before my wedding I ended up having break through bleeding a week before the wedding. I was worried I'd have some sort of bleeding on my wedding but I did. I really wanted to have sex on my wedding night and we don't do it when I am bleeding (my choice I just can't do it) so I was determined to do something to ensure it wouldn't arrive and fortunateky it worked. Maybe it was a bad idea stopping the pill on my wedding day as subsequently no baby. But I did have a AF free wedding for myself.
