    Red face Hormone Imbalance?

    Hi ladies

I am going to have a blood test tomorrow to check for a hormone imbalance, I have a few different symptoms that I've been looking into and believe that combined, may mean I have an imbalance.

My symptoms, for the most part, are:

    - Cranky / moody all the time. This isn't normal for me

    - Really easily upset, anything seems to set me off these days, even small trivial things

    - Weight gain

    - Non existant libido, which is really starting to take a toll on my marriage...

Just wondering if anyone out there has suffered a hormone imbalance before or knows anything about it? Do these sound like symptoms of an imbalance? Is there anything else it could be? All symptoms have been going on for around 6 months, with the exception of my libido, which has been low ever since DS was born.

    Thanks

So I went to my doctor today and she has ordered a full blood test. However, she won't test hormones as she said that the results fluctuate so much and also the fact that I have implanon implant will over ride all results anyway.

She said there's a few things my symptoms could be, the major one being a thyroid problem. Has anyone had a thyroid problem before? Were your symptoms comparitive to mine?

Anyway, I have to wait another week to find out what's going on with me, I'm so over it

Just wanted to give you a honey, try not to worry too much. A friend of mine did have a thyroid issue, but from what she has told me the main symptom she had was weight gain. I think hot flushes are also common along with breathlessness.

I however did have an implanon a few years back and had pretty much all of the symptoms you've listed and I have had a couple of friends who had similar problems with it. In my case it took a long time for the symptoms to come on and then they gradually got worse and worse, so after 18 or so months I had it taken out.

I have all the symptoms you have listed plus acne and no ovulation, I was recently diagnosed with PCOS. It does sound like you have an imbalance it could be any number of things. Hope you find out whats going on and are able to manage it easily

These things could also be a result of an emotional imbalance xoxo

The doctor did mention that too Lulu, I'm having a mental health check as well as all the physical stuff. I really don't think that's the answer though.
