I'm not sure on what there rights are on it but I wouldnt have thought they would have been able to change the fortnighly amount I could be wrong but it doesnt seem right to me, the amount you owe yes i know they can change that ive had that happen but not the f'nightly repayment amount, might be worth giving them a call or going in there
I have just re-estimated my income, because will be working an extra day a fortnight this year. We are only on the base rate of FTB A anyway, but not near the cut off for not receiving any IYKWIM. Anyway CL computers have picked up there *might* have been an over payment of $350 (ish) so they have reduced my fortnightly repayments for the rest of the financial year to cover this debt that I *might* have incurred. According to the bloke I spoke to there is no way of over riding it, even though he and I both know there is not debt- apparently there have been alot of complaints about it and they can put in a complaint and they are hoping to have this part of the system removed in the next financial year.
with a debt agreement, it is based on a percentage of your household income - if something has happened to increase your family income, the previously assigned debt repayment will change. you need to recontact to have a set amount of payment deducted towards your debt
