Exercise suggestions for back pain when pregnant.

I have been doing some light swimming and try and go for a short walk each day but even this some days leaves me in amazing amounts of pain.
I've had really bad back/siatic pain this pregnancy (and after finding out what SPD actually is, i might ask for them to look for it....) so I find it hard to anything that involves to much pressure on my back/hips/legs.
Does anyone have any other suggestions on types of exercise I can do doing? Since you know (according to the dr at the hospital) i'm so overweight I can't possible do shared care this pg (re: hospy thread) lol

My suggestions would be those you're already doing, swimming and gentle walking. Any chance you'd try chiropractic? People seem to be either all for it or all against it, but I swear by it helping me get through this pregnancy. I was having the worst sciatica in my right leg all the way down into my calf and foot, I'd come home from work and cry and DH would have to rub it for a long time to relieve the pain. First appt with my doula she suggested a chiropractor who has alot of experience in pregnancy adjustments, and after just over 2 months of visits, I now have no pain! It's great!!

Might not be for you, sorry to stray from your original Q but thought I'd let you know what has helped me!

Ohhh and I haven't exactly let DH know just how little (ie. none) pain I have because he's gotten soooo good at the massage
