I've finished my Cert III in Fitness!!!

Such a relief!!!! 6 months ago I really doubted whether I could get it all done. But with some fantastic support & encouragement around me I've done it! Now I just need to wait on my feedback from my final practical assessment.

Some background....I'm a pilates lover and in late 2008 I started an Instructor course at the studio I attend. The studio director & I get along really well, we both know there is a connection there somewhere, like we were destined to meet and work together somehow. I digress.....so, in the middle of that course I fell pregnant with DS. To compliment the Pilates course, I decided to do my Cert III in Fitness as its helpful in terms of maintaining certification. Its mainly focussed on gym instruction which is not my main area of interest, but helpful nonetheless.

So I enrolled for the course in January 2009, close to 4 months pregnant and still working full time. As I got increasingly tired & consumed by pregnancy & work my study time went out the window. I was delusional enough to think that cramming a few months of study in after the baby was born would work out fine I panicked when I knew I wasn't going to complete it by end of July.

But alas, as I pleaded to my course coordinator for an extension they informed me I actually had 12 months to complete the course, not the 6 months I thought I had. So the weight was lifted, I could relax for a few months.

Fast forward to November & I got my groove back, the end of the tunnel was in sight. And with the mammoth support of my wonderful DP who has had time off work over Christmas and could focus on DS, I can proudly put my final assignment & assessment in the post tomorrow. WOOOT!

Just as an added bonus I found out today I'll be teaching my first Pilates class in Feb, and it will be a pregnancy class too!
