Just wondering if OSFAs really fit that well throughout a kid's nappying? Aren't they really bulky & gapey when they're little? Do you have to add heaps of boosters when they're bigger?
Thanks,
I just saw noone has replied to your thread. We have quite a few OSFA's and I find them to be great!! They have fitted DD ever since she was about 3mths old (when we started full time MCN use!) and she is nearly 1yr old and they still fit her really well. I have found that I've never had to boost them up anymore... but she's not a heavy wetter like some babies can be. (moderate). Alot of them have snaps down the front which you can adjust the setting on those as bub/toddler grows.....
Some great brands of OSFA's we have are Happy Heiny's, Bum Genius and Green Kids!!!
We also have quite a few 'sized' nappies in different brands. A real mix!!
Most of my OSFAs didn't fit till 3 months, particularly the wide crotch ones. Actually, Baby Beehinds are the only wide crotch ones I have, as after finding that I didn't buy any more! But they fit her quite well now (6 months) so maybe I should try some others... hmm. I also found that Cushie Tushies had enormous leg gape even when the others fitted, and she has pretty chunky thighs and a high rise, so the shape must have been just not right for her.
I prefer pocket OSFAs with a snap down fold rather than the fold down front sort, though the stuffing can be tricky to get past the fold. With pockets you can use a smaller insert when they're really little so it's less bulky.
