Kitchen renno...how much expect to pay ??

Desperate for our laminate dark wooden kitchen cupboards and bright yellow bench top to GO ......DH has said if i get a few quotes...we can then look at the money situation.....
With 6 family members, i want a big kitchen...its kinda big now,but no pantry, not enough cupboards for waht i need, and i want more benchspace.... Soooo...thinking of relocating the kitchen to the dining room - a room at the centre of the house. It would be totally open plan. YOu would need to walk thru the kitchen to a) outside b) to the main family room c) to get to the laundry d) to get to the study....i think this will work. Its mean shifting the plumbing but the new kitchen would just be a little to the right of the old one. .....
How much am i looking at....we have nuthin !! - no applicances, no cupboards, nuthin. I dont mind going for a cheaper cupboard door, and when we make our millions in a few years (gotta dream.....) i can replace the doors with what i want...as long as the frame work is there yer ???
How much has your kitchen reno cost ? was it a total transformation ?? i.e relocation????

Sorry, no idea on cost, but when you say walk through the kitchen, is this going to be an issue at dinner time when you're trying to prepare dinner and people are walking through the kitchen in all directions?

Or are you thinking a galley style kitchen, so you'd more walk past in that walk through?

you biggest expense will be plumbing as you want to relocate the kitchen and probably electrical...if you were to keep in the original kitchen the expense would go down if you could owrk the new kitchen around exisiting plumbing electrical sites

but quotes are thw way to go work out what you want then go from there
