Does anybody kow if a manufacturer's waranty applies if you have purchased something (new) from Ebay.
I bought my Ameda Purely Yours breast pump back in August / September I think... it's starting to play up & I do NOT want to be left in the lurch without one!
If it was bought in a store I would take it back. Does anyone know, can you do the same with Ebay?
Did you get a receipt when you purchased it? If so you can contact the manufacturer to find out what to do. If you don't have a receipt, can you contact the seller to try and get one?
I bought a new mobile phone from eBay a few years ago and it started playing up, I was able to get it repaired under warranty because I had a receipt.
A lot of the time they can tell when a product was manufactured and therefore if its under warranty, but they dont *have* to without proof of purchase.
Also, you'd need to lie and say that you bought it new as generally a warranty is not transferrable, and selling the item on will void it.
So I need to contact the manufacturer?
I think the seller I bought it from is like an on-line store, if that helps.... I will have to go back & find my sales details from them.
TBH i never thought I'd be using it this long, so didn't worry about that stuff at the time...
If the seller has an online store and regularly sells the same pumps then contact them and ask them who to contact (also ask for a receipt if they didn't already give you one). I'm sure if you contacted the manufacturer though, they'd be pretty helpful
