a new theory on triphasic charts

just had a random thought... wouldnt it be funny if a whole bunch of "triphasic" charts are just caused by the heat of increased anxiety every morning to see if your temp is going up?
I swear thats what mine is!

actually that does lead me to a question- those who do oral temps with a digital thermometer- do you just put it under your tongue and press the button or do you leave it in there for a few minutes to "acclimatize" before pressing the button? I've been trying to leave it 3 mins but i think thats enough time for me to get all excited and warmer?!

Hi Lozzy, I put the thermometer under my tongue for a few minutes before taking the temp. I read to do it that way in the packet. lol It seems to work well, especially if I've slept with my mouth open and I get a dodgy temp to begin with. I thought it didn't matter if you were awake or not, as long as you don't move around or get up or pee or anything like that? I could certainly be wrong though!

I know what you mean about excitement and temps though.. but while I was waiting for O, I was just as excited as after it happened, and the temps seemed to do their own thing regardless. I do enjoy the temping and charting process though. I'm sure I'll feel differently after doing it a few more times with BFNs though. Lets hope it doesn't come to that for either of us!
