Question Opened tofu in fridge... how long?

How long can an opened packet of Tofu stay in the fridge? There is nothing on the packet advising when to discard after opening? It's silken Tofu if that makes any difference
We don't normally use Tofu in cooking however I made some Tofu and vege patties the other day for DD (which she didn't like ) and now it's sitting there.

    TIA

hmmm - did it come with a bit of brine/water in the packet? i usually get the firm tofu & i always keep it in water in a container & i usually change the water every day & use it within a few days. not sure if silken is the same though?

I do the same. But I too normally use the firmer tofu.

Hmm well I have tofu "nuggets" and the packet says to consume within 3 days of opening. Not sure if it is the same with silken tofu though??

Thanks everyone. I think I might throw it out... we've had it past 7 days now. and yep it is in it's water still in the container.
(yes normally I would buy the common one also... the recipe we used said to use silken tofu but i couldnt see a huge difference)

The best way to store tofu, silken or firm, is in a container of water in the fridge. Fill the container so that the tofu is covered and put the lid on. Then change the water every couple of days. The tofu should stay fresh for about a week.

Tofu has quite a distinct sweet smell when it starts to go off.
