I think my dog has an allergy

She keeps sneezing coughing and rubbing her nose on eveything. I can't get her into the vet until Wednesday.

This is probably a really stupid question but....Can I give her an antihistamine?

You could, but unfortunately sneezing isn't a sign of an allergy in dogs at all. Its more likely she's gotten something up there like a grass seed than an allergy. Or an insect bite, that is often another reason, you could check for a stinger or something in case its a bee sting.

Allergic reactions in dogs are often tiny bumps on the skin like hives, or swollen muzzles (the area around the mouth), swollen ears...

My Lab gets like that some mornings - She usually gets over it within a couple of hrs. Im not sure about Anti H's - maybe just call your vet and ask??
    Hope your puppy is ok!

She has red inflamed skin around her mouth. I'm really worried about her, she can't stop coughing atm. I think I mgiht rush her down there now and make the vet see her maybe.

Good idea Tinks! When I worked at the vets we would see animals like your dog asap!

Good luck and let us know how you go!
