immunisations - fever for 5 days

My DS had his 4 month immunisation on Thursday morning. Had a high fever on Thursday night. Vommited all day Saturday but no fever. Very cranky though. Sunday afternoon starting getting fevers again. Overnight, had fevers everytime panadol wore off. still has the fever this morning. Doctor says its just a reaction from the immunisations.

Has annyone else experienced this? How many days did the fever go on for? what did you do?

Ours normally lasted 24-48 hours if they had a fever.
If you are worried call the RCH immunistaion line (03 9345 6599) and ask them - Im sure it doesnt matter what state you are in though if you have a local childrens hospital the call will be cheaper

I always thought usual reactions were more like a mild temp for 24-48 hours. Might be worth a call to your child health line?
Poor little guy might have picked up a tummy bug on top of his vax
    Hope he feels better soon

I'd give the CH line a call. My DS always has a reaction to his immunisations, but it never lasts anymore than 3 days.
