Nair peel off wax: need some help!

In my never-ending quest for the perfect method of hair removal, I bought the new Nair wax on the weekend- the one where you smooth it on and it dies into a strip that you whip off- ie- no cloth strips required.

But either I am completely unco, or is really hard to use. (bear in mind, I've never really tried any wax at home things, so maybe this applies to all waxes, not just this one). Mainly, its really, really messy. I try to get a glob off to put on my legs and all these strings like mozarella cheese come off and go everywhere. And I cannot get a nice thin even layer on my legs. Is my wax not warm and gooey enough?

Also, it only seems to pull out about 50% of the hairs, even where the hair is long. Is this normal for waxing, or peculiar?

I hate to think I just wasted $20, but its looking that way right now!!

I bought that stuff too and also found it impossibly messy! I would either try and pull it off when it wasn't set enough, or left it too long and it was too hard to pull off (now that hurts like hell!).

I would recommend the pre-waxed strips if you're going to do waxing. They're much easier (and less messy). I have a cupboard full of waxing stuff because I buy the stuff because I can't justify spending $80 on a wax each month. Then I only to do half my calf and give up because it is too much of a PIA. Then I go shave

is it the nair c'est divine?
    I like it.
I would reccommend clean your legs first with a baby wipe, then apply a very small amount of baby powder so they are nice and dry (helps to get all the strands of hair sticking up - but don't use too much). I pretty much dust it all off.
Then warm your wax the reccommended time, stir and dip your stick and twirl. My sis is a beauty therapist, and when she was training, they told her its the correct temp when it makes a penis shape on the end of your stick when you're twirling it. This will also eliminate threads of wax going everywhere.
Then smooth on skin against the direction of the hair grown (wwork it around a bit as you go - this will get all the strands of hair), leaving a bit of a lump at the end (makes it easier to grap when you pull it off).
then pull off and it helps to press on the skin afterwards -stops it hurting.
Also, you are not supposed to have it thin like hot wax, it needs to go on a bit thicker - so its not see through i guess. If its too thin it will go brittle.
    good luck, hope that helps
