Plumber/tradesman question about putting in bath cost?
Looking at a bathroom that was recently renovated, but has no bath.
How much would be looking at to pay for instalation? (I know bath and fittings prices depend on what we choose!).
There is double basin, shower and toilet (but there is also another toilet in house so not nessacary to have this one). The house is on stumps too. Has a tiles floor. Just have no idea of cost of doing this job or if its even worth it. So please tell me!!!
Hi there, I see no body has answered you
My hubby is a plumber and he says, if you buy the bath first and then want it installed, you'll be paying about roughly $120 an hour for the plumber, if the pipes are already there, it should take no more than 2 hours, if they arent, then its an all day job..
Then you have to pay for parts, which again, you are better off buying the spindles before hand as local plumbers always add extra to the price. You can just get them from reece.. And the parts + pipes they need will also cost around $200.
So.. My answer would be $500 + Bath cost, they can be expensive too. Have a look at stores to check out the prices first though as they range from hundreds to thousands.
Very expensive, handy if you have a plumber as a hubby though!
We are looking at adding a bath to our bathroom. The tricky thing is to do this, we will have to re-tile wall and floors and move vanity etc around. This adds to the difficult-ness and also the cost. Not sure if you will have these things to consider as well.
lol, skeet, yeah, it is alot, but people pay it! They ask for as much as they can get. Dh's boss actually charges $160 an hour, but I know he is ripping people off!
